The Bliss family live in a large house in the country; a house big enough for guests. However, a weekend at the Bliss home is not always a pleasant experience. Guests should be aware that the Bliss family are unconventional. If a guest has been invited by one member of the family, the rest of the family will probably not know about it and possibly not even the housekeeper. There will be no attempt at making the guest feel welcome and at home. It is more likely that this poor person will be studiously ignored and treated with scant ceremony, and often left all alone. Can you imagine a weekend when all four members of the Bliss family have invited guests? Confusion and chaos reign, mistakes are made, misunderstandings occur and tempers fray. This makes for a delightful comedy; one of Noël Coward’s most famous plays. Come along and see for yourself on a balmy (we hope) evening next May.
