Summary about the play
We meet Orlando as a 16th-century youth, striving to pen a profound poem but falling short. Over the centuries, Orlando changes sex, is a lover of Queen Elizabeth I, travels to Constantinople, and drives a car. Having lived through four centuries and lifetimes of experiences, might Orlando finally have the wisdom to craft his masterpiece?
This imaginative and thought-provoking play is adapted from Virginia Woolf’s celebrated novel by Sarah Ruhl.
